Our Story
From Frustration to Fruition

A Personal Passion Ignited
Driven by personal sensitivities, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, I had always been drawn to sustainable and eco-conscious solutions. My journey took an interesting turn when, as a fashion translator for a fast fashion company, I witnessed the initial implementation of sustainable and circular fashion models.

Unveiling Natural Vegan Leather
It was during this time that I first encountered the emergence of new natural vegan leather alternatives. I was fascinated by the innovative materials that were being developed. At the same time, I was disheartened to observe the rapid deterioration of my own synthetic vegan leather bags, which seemed to fall apart under the strain of daily wear and tear.
-
Discovering the Turning Point
As a certified personal stylist and visual brand consultant, I was on a typical day reading an article in the Harvard Business Review when a profound realization struck me. The article discussed how the current pollution prevention and planet recovery measures within the fashion industry were falling short of their intended impact. It even suggested involving governments in the process, a notion that seemed counterintuitive given the industry's dependence on global consumerism.
-
Embracing a New Direction
I found this perspective intriguing and thought-provoking. However, it also highlighted the reluctance of stakeholders with no inherent ambition for sustainability to drive meaningful change. This article served as a clear sign that the luxury market was on the brink of opening up to environmentally friendly practices.
-
A Personal Mission
The frustration about the low-quality vegan leather bags and the dream of creating the ultimate, durable, and cruelty-free bag myself, ignited a mission within me. I became determined to explore robust alternatives to traditional and synthetic leather, particularly in the realm of handbags. From the very outset, I was committed to using vegan materials, setting out on a path of research and exploration.

Sharing Knowledge and Seeking Support
With a vision to design a bag that could cater to my unique needs (one that was conspicuously absent from the market), I decided to share my research findings with others who shared my passion. I also hoped to explore the possibility of bringing my dream bag to life with the support of a like-minded community.
